NERC Data

DATABASE OVERVIEW:

Many investigators working through the NERC have collaborated to synthesize available research regarding the response of terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems in northeastern North America to environmental change. Compilation of the NERC regional database has built on the collaborative efforts of 13 regional synthesis projects examining ecosystem response to factors such as nitrogen deposition, mercury deposition, base cation depletion, and climate change. The regional database thus provides an opportunity to analyze the effects of interacting environmental factors on terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems across northeastern North America.

COMPONENTS OF THE DATABASE:

The NERC Regional Database includes three primary data sets for which data are publicly available at this time: foliar chemistry, soil chemistry, and surface water chemistry. Descriptions of the data sets, associated metadata, and the data files are available through the following links:
